I had an AWESOME first experience with Gowen's Automotive Repair Shop. I was in route back to Albany, GA from Atlanta when my idler pulley and serpentine belt gave way on my 2000 Mercedes Benz SUV. I called several repair shops, and none of them could assist because they were simply booked up for several weeks. Gowen's was actually booked, but they made a special exception for me since I was traveling. They ordered the needed parts right away and took on my repair job as soon as I had my vehicle towed to them. This customer service speaks in volume with me. They were genuinely wanting to assist me. They were up front about the details of the repair, and their pricing was very reasonable. Brandon is a great Mercedes mechanic, and EVERYONE I came in contact with at that shop had a very pleasing personality. I would definitely use this repair facility again.

I've had everything done from engine work , to an oil change, to replacing tail lights.They are always friendly, do great work, and honest.

What a great Auto repair shop! Since I'm not from GA, I was recommended this place by friends and was not disappointed. They let me know all the prices they could up front before the work started and were extremely honest about what results could be expected from my decisions. The next time I'm in town, I will definitely take my truck here. ❤️

Due to heavy volume because they do great work, be prepared to wait depending on the services needed. Family owned and very good at what they do. I highly recommend them....

Staff - receptionist very nice. Seems like a close family business. Dropped car off on a Tuesday. On Thursday they called to advise issues and what needed to be done. Told them to move forward. On Friday we called to find out how much longer it will be for repair. The mechanic advised it would be ready on Monday. On Monday morning I got a call saying that it needed a new engine. So not confident in their work or diagnosis. looking at a review from Ricky about a month ago he had the same experience of being diagnosed a new engine. Maybe they dont really know how to work on foreign cars. Hmmmm!!!! I cant say I wouldnt recommend them but with their hourly rates and fees, it may be best to just go to dealership. Wasted time and paid $100 for this diagnosis. In addition I had $40 in my car in the side door pocket. I have had that same $40 there for 2 years as emergency money. When I picked up car the $40 was gone. I am not saying it was stolen by anyone who worked here but. . .its been there for 2 plus years thru dropping car off for oil changes, other repair services and no one ever touched it. Again, just sharing a fact about the $40 being there for years and being gone when I picked up the car.
