I've been to Gowen's several times over the past 12 years. They have always fixed my cars correctly and completed the repairs within 3 days. Last week, that was not the case. I left work to pay the repair bill on my car and went back to pick it up after I got off work. (They were closed by then.) The car wouldn't start. Fortunately, I live 15 minutes away and making another trip to take the key back in the morning and return later to pick up the "starting" car wasn't too much of a problem for me. If I lived in Marietta or Smyrna, I would have been very, very upset that the car would not start. Very upset. They apologized, but I think they could have done a little more......like a discount on the next repair. They own the business so they can do that. That would have been better customer service than just apologizing. I mean, my inconvenience was due to their mistake. They are still a good shop. Their prices are a little under the dealer's........but not by much.
